On the surface, The Good Guys looks like a rehash of one of the old 70s detective shows. Wait! Maybe it is. Dan Stark (Bradley Whitford) is a washed-up detective who had a knack for bending the rules to catch a suspect stays drunk most of the time but is still on the force. His new partner is Jack Bailey (Colin Hanks) who is everything Dan isn't - an ambitious, by-the-book, detective who has a habit of undermining himself. Jack turns to his old girlfriend Assistant District Attorney Liz Traynor (Jenny Wade) when he needs reassurance or a shoulder to cry on.
