The 2010 Super Bowl start time was released as the 2010 Super Bowl kick off gets near. The 2010 Super Bowl game time is scheduled for kick off at 6:28 P.M. Eastern Time (3:28 P.M. Pacific Time) on Sunday, February 7th, 2010. Denoted as Super Bowl XLIV, this will be one of the latest Super Bowls that we have seen as the cold of February sets in on the country. It probably won't even be noticed at the Super Bowl location though, as Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida will be the center of the football world again.

With the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami, this could prove to be a huge advantage to the New Orleans Saints if they can make it there, with fans just a small jump away. First New Orleans has to deal with a very good Minnesota Vikings team in the 2010 NFC Championship Game though, and that's not an easy task in itself. Over in the AFC, it's going to be a battle between the New York Jets and the Indianapolis Colts in the 2010 AFC Championship. No matter how the conference championships turn out on Sunday, January 24th, it will set up a very competitive Super Bowl two weeks after that. In the bye week the 2010 Pro Bowl will be played this year, which is also going to take place at Sun Life Stadium.

Not everyone is lucky enough to attend the 2010 Super Bowl in person, and that means the television coverage will be the best way to watch. The 2010 Super Bowl will air on CBS, with live coverage starting at 6:00 P.M. EST before the scheduled kick off at about 6:28 P.M. EST. Before that happens, there will be any number of pre-game shows constructed by CBS to lead up and into the 2010 Super Bowl. This will give fans at home the chance to catch up on how each of the teams made it to Super Bowl XLIV and how the match-ups are going to look on the field. Expect there to be at least an hour long post-game show after the Super Bowl ends as well, where the trophies will be handed out to the team and Super Bowl MVP.

The half time show for the 2010 Super Bowl is going to be The Who, returning to sing a combined set with some of their most famous songs in the medley. The announcers for the game are going to be Jim Nantz doing the play-by-play, with former quarterback and Super Bowl hero Phil Simms doing the color commentary. There could be any number of great stories taking place during the 2010 Super Bowl, ranging from Brett Favre trying to prove he is the best quarterback to Peyton Manning trying to win his second Super Bowl to the Saint or Jets trying to prove they are among the elite teams in the NFL. We won't know what storyline will be the best during Super Bowl XLIV, but we will see it start to play out after the 6:28 P.M. EST kick off time on Sunday, February 7th, 2010.
