The 2010 Tour de France marks the 100th anniversary of the Tour's first visit to the Pyrenees. To celebrate, the 2010 Tour de France route will have 4 stages in that particular mountain range.
All in all, the 2010 Tour de France route will have 6 high mountain stages with 3 grueling hilltop finishes. In addition, the 2010 Tour de France route will have cobblestone sectors for the first time since 2004.
Lance Armstrong plans on completing the 2010 Tour de France route. For those of you who have never watched a bicycle race, you need to watch the 2010 Tour de France and see a fellow American in action.
When I spent the summer of 2002 in France, I was a little bummed that the family that I stayed with wanted to watch the Tour de France every day. However, the mountain ranges are very suspenseful and watching the Tour de France was a lot better than trying to understand French on the television.
The 2010 Tour de France route will be challenging to say the least. The contenders who will undertake the 2010 Tour de France route train for this event all year long. Where the winners are determined from the losers is through the mountain range. If you can excel in the mountains, you will gain a lot of time and pull forward through the ranks.
The 2010 Tour de France route is not for the faint hearted. After all, the racers complete 2,231 miles in three weeks time.
Lance Armstrong finished third in the 2009 Tour de France. It will be interesting to see how the 7 time champion completes the 2010 Tour de France route. Hopefully Lance Armstrong will be able to put forth another record-breaking win for the Americans.
The 2009 Tour de France winner Spaniard Alberto Contador and Lance Armstrong both raced for Astana in 2009. Lance Armstrong is moving on to race for the Radio Shack team when completing the 2010 Tour de France route.
Let's keep our fingers crossed. The 2010 Tour de France will be here before we know it. Hopefully the 2010 Tour de France route proves to be challenging for the bikers and entertaining for the fans.
