2010 Winter Olympics NBC TV Schedule - Figure Skating

Guide to Dates and Times for All Olympics Figure Skating Events Starting February 13, 2010

Tracy McCoy
NBC has announced its broadcast schedule for the Olympics. For those viewers that have access to only NBC, I have listed the most current schedule of all the Figure Skating events. The main figure skating 2010 Winter Olympics NBC TV Schedule - Men's and Ladies Figure Skating events will be shown live on prime time on NBC, given that Vancouver, Canada is in the North American time zone. For those viewers who only have over-the-air TV broadcast capabilities, I have listed the most current TV schedule of all the men's and ladies (women's) figure skating events. For Olympics fans that have access to satellite, cable, or HD, streaming broadband coverage, you will have additional options for viewing many events.

Finding out the times for viewing at NBCOlympics.com was much easier for the Winter Olympics as compared to finding out the TV schedule for the 2008 Summer Olympics. This time, the site did not require a user to create an account and login. Having dial-up internet service two years ago resulted in extremely slow page loading last time I checked.

The times are subject to change and you should check NBCOlympics.com for daily updates. There is also a handy "Alert Me" button adjacent to each event, so you may receive an alert if you wish. The listings below show only those men's and ladies Figure Skating events viewable on NBC. Pairs, Ice Dancing, Free Skate, Compulsories, Finals, and the Champions Exhibition Gala (my favorite, other than the ladies final) are featured.

Which women will be at the Olympics for the premier medal event?

The US Figure Skating Nationals was on last night, and the top four finishers were Rachael Flatt and Mirai Nagasu, Ashley Wagner, and Sasha Cohen. Two will be chosen by "committee" to represent Team USA at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The results should be announced soon. For the record, Sasha Cohen finished fourth, and will probably not be chosen, although she looked to be in top form, but sadly, did not perform extraordinarily well at Nationals.

Sasha Cohen came in 4th place at last night's US Nationals and now may not be chosen to be in the 2010 Winter Olympics. The U.S. only send two ladies to Vancouver.
