2010 New Years Resolution for Mariah Carey

Let's Talk Babies

Now, since I am due to have a baby in early march of 2010, I thought it would be a perfect article to discuss. Sure, you hear of celeb's talking babies all the time. But I don't recall many that have made it a New Years resolution.

It was one of the first hot topics I came across in my search for celebrity New Years Resolutions. And frankly, if this story is true and it does happen, I'll be happy for the music star that I grew up to (but really haven't listened to much of her music in years).

The Post Chronicle posted their article about Mariah's plans on having kids with her newly found beau Nick Cannon, also a musician, on November 27 of this year 2009. They comment that Mariah, ". . .insists they're holding off on having kids until at least the New Year (10) when work commitments and Christmas celebrations are out of the way - because she wants her children to have their parents' full attention." And most parents would thin that smart. Not all of us get the chance to plan kids for the sake that they get to know their parents instead of the parents constantly at work and with a busy schedule to match. Leaving baby at home with the nanny. That really isn't the way for a child to grow up.

In addition to The Post's article, they site that Mariah told UK talk show This Morning, "We've definitely discussed it (having kids). The only thing is that at this particular moment, it's almost Christmas. He's doing his work and I'm promoting and doing all this stuff. Right now is not the moment. . ." Also, saying that she wants to let their child have a more normal life. Truth be told, what's a normal life compared to that of the life of a celebrity family? It's a different tone to normal. Plus, I don't think their is a normal, just a "common".

Other sites talking about Mariah and Nick are In Entertainment, Celebrity Gossip City News, Show Biz Spy, New York Daily News, and Baby Chums. Among others.

So, in the case that Mariah and Nick do have a baby, I'm sure that all loyal fans of both will be in full support and very happy to hear of the new, possibly future singer, baby. I bet their kids will be just adorable.
