The New Hyundai Freshmen: Hyundai motors took over at the 2010 auto show by premiering their newest additions to the family, the '11 Sonata, one which is turbocharged and the other which is an electric hybrid. Experiencing this car up close and personal is really a chance of a lifetime. Hyundai made an excellent impression on car enthusiast by being the first Hyundai of its kind to use direct injection and turbo charging.
Saab Makes a Comeback: With all of the legal troubles leading to GM's bankruptcy, nobody ever thought that the Saab would make a bounce back like this. The 2011 Saab 9-5, which is now sponsored by Spyker Cars, has a style similar to that of an Aero X concept vehicle. Although Saab has presented their products back on the market, their reputations and future will depend on this new release.
Bentley Does is BIG: Anyone who is up on the car scene has heard of the name "Bentley". When one thinks of the name "Bentley" you automatically imagine a sleek design with tons of class. Bentley lived up to expectations by "showing off" their new convertible Supersport. Bentley usually keeps a low profile at car shows when it comes to class and basic car colors, however; they showed up with their $280,400, 202 mph Bentley in a vibrant "big bird" yellow. This is boasted to be the fastest vehicle ever made by Bentley which does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, whew!
Jump on the BandWAGON: There were collages of new wagons from makers such as Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz, Acura as well as Kia at the 2010 New York International Auto show. Luxury wagons seem to be a trend of the future as Cadillac released their CTS-V Sport Wagon which has over 556 kick of horsepower, try leaving your haters in the dust with that! Other shining moments came from Acura, who announced their TSX Sport Wagon with an extended cargo area. The Acura model will hit show room floors as soon as the fall season. Last but not lease was the Kia Forte, which is a 5 door, made headlines for their giveaway price of $20,000 or less.
Lincoln Crosses Over: While Lincoln has been straying away from going green by releasing hybrid cars for years, they've switched up! Lincoln released their upgraded MKZ model which is supplied with a hybrid drive train. With Ford's hybrid causing so many waves and taking home the 2010 North American Car of the Year award, Lincoln has a good chance of succeeding with the masses. Lincoln buyers much beware when purchasing the 2011 model as it will not have the Smartgauge feature of the 2010 model.
