For those not familiar with this style, let me fill in you a bit. A majority just think a mohawk is worn one way. However it's not. You can wear it long and spiky, short and spiky, colored, buzzed, curly, buzzed with bangs, flat, braided, combed back, faux hawk, bun hawk, ponytail, single, double or triple. The coolest trend going right now for some fans is the double. Have you ever seen one? It's pretty cool, but not everyone.
Double Mohawk Styles
Decide if you want your hair short, medium or long. Then the texture. Do you want to wear it curly, spiky, long and teased, or pin straight?
Preparing Your Hair
Certain items are definitely needed to create this style. You will need a blowdryer, comb, and hairspray. You can use hairspray with a flat iron, but this method will not hold as well. Do not use Elmer's glue, gel, jello, ketchup, or pomade. All you need is a really good super spray like Freeze It, Bedhead Hardhead, Got2b Blast Freeze, Aqua Net, or Fudge Membrane Gas Super Strong spray.
Creating The Double
Do this two different ways. Either place the first mohawk in the middle and the second one right next to it. Or leave the middle section completely alone and do one mohawk on each side, make sure the hair is long enough to stick up.
Using your comb grab a section of hair and pull it straight up. While the hair is up spray the section completely with hairspray followed by the dryer. Keep the dryer close, but be careful not to put directly on the scalp or you will burn your head. When your drying make sure to do both sides. Repeat until finished.
Allow the spray to settle in. Then spray the entire mohawk one more time. If your hair is extremely long try and hide some bobby pins at the root area in between for extra support. Perfect tip for any mohawk is to make sure you shampoo and condition your hair before creating the style to get better results, also you can keep this look for a few days as long as you sleep on your side and use a silk pillowcase.
