Amesbury - July 4: 9:00 p.m. at Woodsoms Farm, Lion's Mouth Rd.

*NEW* Amherst - July 4: Community celebration at 5pm; fireworks in fields just behind UMass McGuirk Stadium at 9:30pm.

Andover - July 3: 9:00 p.m. Andover High School, Shawsheen Road. More info: Andover, Ma. website .

Attleborough - July 4: Dusk/9:00 p.m., at Hayward Field, 73 North Ave.

Auburn - July 2: Holiday events start at 9:00 a.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Lymanski Park, North Oxford & Reithel Streets. Rain date for fireworks only: July 3.

Ayer - July 2: Fireworks at dusk , at Pirone Memorial Field, 90 School Street. More info: town of Ayer .

Bellingham - July 4: 9:00 p.m., High School Field, 60 Blackstone Street. Rain date: July 5.

Beverly - July 4: 9:15 p.m, barge off West Beach. Rain date: July 5.

Boston - July 4: fireworks 10:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular concert. Can't make it to the city? Watch the show on WBZ-TV Channel 4 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Brockton - July 1 to July 4, July 7 & 8: Fireworks at 10:30 p.m., Brockton Fairgrounds, 433 Forest Ave Brockton.

Danvers - July 3: Patriotic concert 7:00 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m., Plains Park on Damon Street. Rain date: July 5.

Dracut - July 2: 9:00 p.m., Dracut High School, 1540 Lakeview Avenue. Rain date: July 5.

East Brookfield - July 9: 9:30 p.m., Connie Mack Drive. Rain date: July 10

East Longmeadow - July 3 - 9:30 p.m. High School Athletic Field, 180 Maple Street.

Edgartown - July 4, 9:00 p.m., Memorial Wharf.

Franklin - July 2: Festivities start at 10 a.m. Fireworks at 9:00 p.m., Franklin Junior High Athletic Fields. Rain date: July 5.

Freetown - July 3: 8:00 p.m. Off South Main Street. Rain date: July 9.

Gloucester - July 3: Head to Cape Ann for the weekend or the night. Fireworks at 10 p.m. over Gloucester Harbor.

Holyoke - July 1: Fireworks at dusk from Holyoke Community College. Rain date July 3.

Hyannis - July 4: Dusk at Lewis Bay. For best views, set up your blanket and picnic around Hyannis Harbor.

Lanesborough - July 4: at 9:30 p.m., 30 Swamp Road. Rain date: July 8.

Lawrence - July 4: at 9:00 p.m., Devlin Field. Rain date: July 5.

Lexington - July 2: 9:30pm/after sunset. Center Field off Worthen Road. More info: Lexington Lions .

Lincoln - July 4: fireworks at 9:00 p.m. Fireworks display will happen in "light rain." Rain date is July 5. Ballfiled Road complex parking donation: $20. Check Lincolnrec.com for updates.

Lowell: Music at 5:30 p.m., fireworks at 9:00 p.m. Sampas Pavilion, Vandenberg Esplanade. Rain date: July 6.

Lynn - July 3, 9:00 p.m., off a barge near Red Rock. Rain date: July 5.

Marblehead - July 4: Wait for the cannon signal 8:45 p.m. and light your flare. Fireworks at 9:00 p.m., launched from barges at the mouth of the harbor, begin at 9 p.m. More information: Marbleheadfireworks.org.

Salem - July 4: Join 50,000 other people to celebrate the 4th of July. Music 5:00 p.m., fireworks: 9:00/9:15 p.m., Derby Wharf, Inner harbor of Salem.
