Copper Mountain Ski Resort has recreational activities for all members of the family. Ice skating, skiing, tubing, sleigh rides, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and more can all be found at Copper Mountain. With 22 lifts, 126 ski trails, and 25 kilometers of cross-country skiing, you'll have more than your fill of recreational activities.

January 15-17: Safety Fest. Celebrating the NSAA Safety Week, Copper Mountain will focus on helmets, hydration, and buddy skiing. Safety Fest tents will be on site and open daily from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. There will also be a daily avalanche dog demonstration beginning at 12:30 pm.
January 15: En Fuego. It all begins with a street party from 4-7 pm for socializing and fun for all! A free social event with fire pits all around the Village, a Cosmic Fire Performance, and fireworks at 7 pm. Dress warm and bring a mug of hot chocolate!
January 16-17: Krahooligan's Cash Cow. This event is open to all competitor's with a total of $10,000 in cash being awarded. This is the Big Money Boardercross event that's very popular at Copper Mountain. You must register online at Copper Mountain Ski Resort by midnight January 12. January 29-30: Snow Salutes Yoga Retreat. Wake up each morning to yoga warm-up exercises before hitting the slopes. On Saturday evening, you'll enjoy a yoga restorative class that will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. This workshop will teach you how to avoid injury on the slopes and how to relax. There's 3 yoga classes and 3 healthy meals for $150. You can register by calling 314 680-6374 or online at www.ontheyogamat.com/copper. After you register for this workshop, ask about the special $99 lodging rates that you'll be entitled to.

March 5-7: Colorado Special Olympic Winter Games! Copper Mountain hosts the 23 rd annual Colorado Special Olympic Winter Games and Copper is very proud of this event. If you haven't attended this wonderful athletic event, you're missing out on a lot of fun. There are over 500 athletes that participate in this event and categories are Figure Ice Skating, Snowshoeing, Cross-Country Skiing, Alpine Skiing, and Snowboarding. March 19: En Fuego. This is a special En Fuego making it Irish with green beer, live music, and green fireworks all beginning at 4 pm.
April 2-12: USASA Snowboard and Freeski National Championship 2011. Copper Mountain hosts the largest snowboarding and freeski event on earth and this is it. Amateur competitors from ages 7-70 participate in this national event. You'll see Slalom, Giant Slalom, Boardercross, Superpipe, Slopestyle, and other events during this ten-day competition. April 2: En Fuego. The days are getting longer and this street entertainment will be from 5-8pm with live music, bonfires, and fireworks at 8 pm. A free event and fun for all!
April 9-10: Sunsation Weekend #1. This is the first end-of-the-season weekend of celebrations at Copper Mountain. There'll be free live music to accompany your last days of skiing. For a music line up and schedule of events, check out www.coppersunsation.com.
