2011 Detroit Lions Schedule

The Lions Open at Tampa Bay

Tommy Hayfield
The Detroit Lions have had ten consecutive losing seasons, but they showed glimpses of brilliance last year playing many teams surprisingly close even while losing a lot of them. Detroit drew the league's 4th toughest schedule this year which makes stopping their ten year losing streak difficult. The Lions have a really hard time winning road games. The Lions opponents had a 133-123 record last year. The Lions will have a road trip mileage this year of 14,506 miles.

The healing of injuries to their quarterbacks last year will hold the key to their success this year. They also need to win at least three road games to make the playoffs. Jim Schwartz, the Detroit Lions head coach, is starting his third year in charge of the Lions.

Here's the Detroit Lions 2011 schedule.
