Anyone who has stayed at the resorts at Walt Disney World has more than likely heard about the Disney Dining Plan, a crediting system that allows you and your family to eat in a convenient and often less expensive way. January 2008, Walt Disney World introduced a new installment to the list called the Quick Service Dining Plan (QSDP). Disney's Quick Service Dining Plan is a long awaited plan for those families that enjoy getting the most out of their days with little to no breaks.
Each guest on the plan is entitled to two counter service meals, and one snack per night of stay, along with a refillable resort mug that is valued at $12.99 and can be refilled at the refreshment stand at the home resort. The dining costs $34.99 per adult per night and $11.99 per child (3-9) per night. A quick service meal allows the guest to have a meal at many of the fast food restaurants, and the meal includes a main entree, drink (non-alcoholic beverage) and dessert (no dessert at breakfast, extra juice is included).
The Quick Service Dining Plan is a step down to the Disney Dining Plan, but for many, the convenience of not having to make Advanced Dinner Reservations, not have to sit down to a meal at a restaurant, and not have to be on a set schedule is very enticing.
The Quick Service Dining Plan is definitely a very welcomed addition to Disney guests who are on a budget and who don't want to be tied down to Dining Reservations. The plan will allow guests to have anything that is on the menu without having to worry about the prices, and with a little research you can actually workout having all three meals with this plan, using the snack credits as your breakfast meal. The Quick Service Dining Plan would benefit even those with hungry teenagers as the portion sizes at Walt Disney World are quite generous and with the addition to a dessert at your meal, can be more than satisfying.
This plan is definitely here to stay!
