2011 Easter Events in Dallas, Texas

Easter will be here before you know it and if you want to take your child to something fun in the Dallas area, now is the time to start seeking out what Easter events will be happening in your area. Most events occur before Easter so be sure to mark the events on your calendar so they won't slip your mind. This article will detail four of the best Easter activities to take your kids to in Dallas , Texas and surrounding areas.

#1: University of Dallas Egg Hunt

The University of Dallas wants in on the Easter fun and is having an egg hunt on Saturday, April 23rd. It starts at 3:30 PM. They ask that you RSVP by April 16th so they know how many kids to expect. The egg hunt will take place on the lawn besides Jerome Hall (click here for a map of the University of Dallas ). For more information, call Rachel Gilliam at (972) 721-5133. #2: Spring Egg Hunt

You can never take your child to enough egg hunts, trust me, go and ask them. Nearby Irving is having their spring egg hunt on April 23rd from 9:30 AM to 11 AM . Children under six will have the opportunity to look for eggs. The egg hunt is free but if you want your child to get their face painted and to have their picture taken with the Easter bunny, you'll need to pay $5 dollars. Registration is required. #3: Traditional Ukrainian Easter Egg Painting

Let older kids explore the world of art...Easter style. The Museum of Biblical Arts will be having a special display of painted Easter eggs by artist Ms. Bezney who has painted the eggs Pysanka style. Her eggs will be on display in the Museum store but you can also sign up to make your own painted eggs. Workshop dates are April 13th and April 14th at 10 AM . You will need to register and it costs $125 (though viewing the already painted eggs just costs the normal entrance fees). #4: Celebrate with the Easter Bunny

Your child will never forget meeting the Easter Bunny himself at Grapevine Mills . On April 2nd from 10 AM to 12 PM , children will have the chance to visit the Easter Bunny as well as doing fun activities. Radio Disney will be on site and there will also be giveaways.
