2011 Fantasy Football Running Backs

Can't Miss Backs

John Krutz

With the 2011 NFL season almost upon us, it is time to get your fantasy football team ready. No team is ever complete without a star running back. 2010 gave us some disappointments with some star running backs but also gave us a look to the future. Here are my can't miss running backs for the 2011 NFL season.

Number one is going to be Adrian Peterson, I know his last year was not his best but I think a lot of that has to do with the problems at quarterback his team had. I think McNabb is a good fit in Minnesota and I think that could only benefit Peterson. I really look for Peterson to have a bounce back year and dominate the NFL again with the resurgence of a passing game in Minnesota. At the very least you know he will put up solid numbers.

My number two best is Jamaal Charles from Kansas City. He is a good back and seriously is there a defense in the AFC West that scares anybody. Kansas City should win that division and with mostly a run first offense I expect Charles to put up some big numbers. He may be the steal of a draft if he goes later then the second round.

Finally you can't leave out Arian Foster. This Texan is primed to dominate the NFL this year and in most fantasy drafts he could easily be the number one pick, and that may be the only reason he is not number one on my list. I like my number one's to be QB's but if you have a chance to draft Foster you should take it.

Remember running backs can be a place to pick up some great sleepers, and I think this year will prove that to be very true. So be sure to check out my other articles on fantasy players, especially the running back sleepers.
