2011 Ford Explorer Will Create Hiring Movement for New Ford Jobs, Pictures a Hot Property

The New 2011 Ford Explorer is Creating Jobs as Ford Goes Back to the Well with New Crossover

The 2011 Ford Explorer pictures reveal a hot new Ford Explorer model. The 2011 Ford Explorer will also create jobs and hiring at the Ford Assembly Plant in Chicago. It seems like a good thing all around because the 2011 Ford Explorer will bring the line of SUV's into the next decade for Ford, and it will create an estimated 1,200 new jobs in the Chicago area. The 2011 Ford Explorer is a pretty well-kept secret by the Ford Company so far, and the only images available are a digital rendering and a tarp covered image. We linked both of the available images of the 2011 Ford Explorer at the end of this article if you are interested in taking a peak.

The official debut of the 2011 Ford Explorer will take place at the Chicago Auto Show, which will be running from February 10th to February 21st in Chicago. That is where many new models will be presented by all of the car companies, and Ford will also be revealing some other models. The 2011 Ford Explorer is leading the news for new Ford releases though, because they are making a major remodel of the line. The body-on-frame version of the Ford Explorer is going to be gone, and in its place will be a Ford Taurus platform. This will definitely give the Ford Explorer a different feel for its drivers, and if the early images are any indication, it could look much different.

We won't have many showroom details about this new 2011 Ford Explorer until the Chicago Auto Show next month, but it is rumored that the engine will be a 3.5 liter V6, and if it is anything like the Ford Explorers of the past, there will also be a V8 option. The move from the old model of the Ford Explorer to this newer version seems to push the Ford Explorer to more of a crossover vehicle than the same sport utility vehicle that it has been known as in the past. Some of the older Ford Explorers just weren't as capable of having good gas mileage numbers, and maybe that will be another one of the big changes with this new model.

The 2011 Ford Explorer could end up being one of those vehicles that takes the SUV world by storm, or it could also end up being a vehicle that doesn't get accepted as well as Ford is hoping. The two major things that needed to be upgraded were the gas mileage and the handling of the vehicle. Rumor has it that these have both been upgraded and updated, but we won't know for sure until Ford finally unveils the new details and pictures of the 2011 Ford Explorer to the media on February 10th or 11th. Until then, we just have the conjecture to go off of, and the hope that these 1,200 new jobs in the Chicago area will really help their economy.
