2011 Golden Globe Nominee List and Predictions

Sandwiched cozily between the People's Choice Awards and the Grammys, the 2011 Golden Globe Awards are scheduled to air on Sunday, January 16th. So who earned nominations and whose big wins will predict success at February 27th's Academy Awards? Read on for a full list of 2011 Golden Globe Award nominees fresh from the awards' office website, as well as a few select predictions.

Best Motion Picture -- Drama

Black Swan
The Fighter
Inception
The Kings's Speech
The Social Network

Predicted Winner: Inception. It's a tough category. All of the films nominated were released late in 2010 with the exception of Inception, so of course its box office numbers are better.

2011 Golden Globe Nominee List for Best Actress -- Drama

Halle Berry - Frankie and Alice
Nicole Kidman - Rabbit Hole
Jennifer Lawrence - Winter's Bone
Natalie Portman - Black Swan
Michelle Williams - Blue Valentine

Predicted Winner - Natalie Portman. 'Nuff said.

2011 Golden Globe Nominees for Best Actor -- Drama

Jesse Eisenberg - The Social Network
Colin Firth - The King's Speech
James Franco - 127 Hours
Ryan Gosling - Blue Valentine
Mark Wahlberg - The Fighter

Predicted Winner - Colin Firth, with Jesse Eisenberg as a close second-place finisher. Why? Well, because I still think Firth is hot, and Eisenberg? He played his role very convincingly.

Predicted Winner: Toy Story 3. It made for the perfect ending to the immensely popular trilogy. It deserves a nod as Woody, Buzz and the gang ride off into the sunset.

Predicted Winner: Alec Baldwin, because I'm tired of Steve Carell and don't think he's that funny. But seriously, where is Neil Patrick Harris? He won a People's Choice Award in this category and is hilarious on How I Met Your Mother.
