Coming in at #1 is one of my all time favorite songs titled "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by one of my favorite bands Aerosmith. This song is not only great for graduation, but good for weddings and proms. No, this song is NOT new for 2011, but it's one of those songs that will rock on forever. Think about it, Graduation is one thing parents really look forward to, and they definitely don't wanna miss a thing when it comes time.
The number #2 graduation song comes from Nas & Damian Marley titled " Count Your Blessings." Whenever we make it passed a certain level in our life, we should always count our blessings. One part of the song goes like this:
And I've got somewhere to dress for
And I've got no need to stress for
And so I'll always put my best forth
And count my blessings
Topping the number #3 spot goes to Klaas with "Our Own Way. Graduating is a huge step, but afterwards some have other decisions to make such as college and working. This song is basically about following your thoughts, and not to let anyone else tell you different. Never worry about what other people think, it's your decision.
#4 is "I Made It" by Kevin Rudolph, the name says it all. One of my favorites lines is:
I look up to the sky
And now the World is mine
I've known it all my life
I made it, I made it!
I used to dream about, the life I'm living now
I know that there's no doubt
I made it, I made it!
Coming in at number #5 is "Never Grow Up" by Taylor Swift. Once a child graduates and goes on their own sometimes parents miss them so much and wish they would stay little, and things would go back to how it use to be.
Won't let nobody hurt you
Won't let no one break your heart
And even though to you want to
Please try to never grow up
Other songs for Graduation 2011 can be "Laughed Until We Cried" by Jason Aldean, "Live Your Life" by T.I. Featuring Rihanna, "We're All In This Together" High School Musical, "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins, "If We Ever Meet Again" by Katy Perry, "Raise Your Glass" by Pink, and "Welcome To Wherever You Are" Bon Jovi.
It's hard to find that perfect song, but once you do you'll be proud.
