The bun has been out for many years, and it really never loses its popularity. There are always new ways to have fun with this style. If you are looking to bring out your facial features more, this slicked back and tight look will do just that.
Preparing For Style
Gather up all the items you need such as hairspray, rattail comb, 3 bobby pins, flat iron, and extra hair is desired/needed.
If your hair is too soft, dirty it up by applying gel or mousse to it. You get better results if you wash the hair a day or two before. The bun can be created on any length or texture. Do it sleek or curly, but remember the over size look now is all about being straight and smooth.
Creating The Look
Using a brush comb all your hair completely straight back, to make sure all the knots and tangles are out. Then put your head upside down and brush the hair forward. Using your hands move the hair into the middle of head on top and place into a tight ponytail.
Smooth the hair out using your comb. Give it a good tease, and smooth again. Now wrap the hair around the base of the ponytail holder. Place a bobby pin on each side, and one in middle for extra hold.
Spray some hairspray onto your comb, and smooth the front and sides to get rid of ant fly aways or frizz. The tighter you make the super size bun, the more your eyes will stand out.
Sideways Updos
Just when you thought the fun was over, it just begins. I'm sure you have all seen or worn a side ponytail or braid, but what about a side french twist, side extreme bun, french roll, or a sideways knot with hair scattered and coming out of it?
This style is extremely chic. When it comes to hair and creating new trends anything goes.
Extreme Side bun
Basically you'r going to follow the same directions as mentioned above for the high and super size bun, expect the placement is different. Place the bun on the upper side of the head. If you are looking from the back, the bun should be directly across from the middle of the ear going up.
