Green is a great color to wear on the eyes, because it can enhance a pale face, or a give shimmer to a darker face. Apply the green by itself on the eyes or mix it up with a gold, brown, gray, deep green, plum, peach, or pink.
How Do You Choose The Perfect Green Shadow?
First you have to decide if you want to go simple with an olive green, or more drastic with a deep emerald green shade. Do you want high pigmented shadow or just your ordinary shadow that you can make darker by dipping a Q-tip into water first then into the shadow?
Best Green Shadows By Far
I have always enjoyed sporting many different shades of green, especially a nice emerald or army green for my olive skin complexion. Throughout the years I have used hundreds of brands, and actually found the top 3, which I feel many would agree with me on.
The first one up is Urban Decay Bright green, which usually costs around $ 15, second one I totally adore is NYX shadow called Hot Green, which costs $3-5 dollars depending on where you purchase it, and the last one I love is Wet N Wild called Mega Eye Trio Green Moss for $3 dollars.
So here I have one real expensive, and two cheap. I like to alternate them, and use the high pigmented one, which is the Urban Decay for a drastic look, and during the day when I feel I need just a slight pick me up I go with the other two.
Wearing Bright Tropic Shades Of Shadows
When wearing bright colors on the eyes, you need to make sure your makeup is well balanced. If your concentrating on the eyes with a turquoise or violet allow the lipstick, blush, and mascara to be subtle. Go with more of a natural shimmer look. Wearing tropic shades of green, don't opt for a very black mascara go ahead and try a brown, violet, or green mascara. The colored mascara will help emphasize the eyes and make them pop out more.
Preparing Your Eyes For That Tropical Spring/Summer Look
A perfect foundation is very important, especially if you want the shadow to stay on, be bright, and not get crumbly. The key to this is a primer. The primer serves as many purposes. It will darken and brighten up the shadow within seconds, but also even out any flaws on the eyelids. Apply a small amount of the primer onto each eyelid. Make sure your cover the whole lid and rub evenly.
