Flags for Our Fallen Memorial Day Rally
The 5th Annual Phoenix Memorial Day Rally takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on May 30, 2011. You'll find over a mile of American flags lining the road leading up to the entrance of the Phoenix Veterans Cemetery. As family members go into the cemetery at 6:30 a.m., the bike riders and other attendees salute them as a tribute to relatives who are buried there. The official ceremony takes place inside the cemetery at 8 a.m. The event is free of charge for all attendees.

Trip to the Arizona Military Museum
If you're looking for something to do over the long Memorial Day weekend, spend a few hours at the Arizona Military Museum. The museum is open on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free. You can learn about the military history of the region, see exhibits featuring weapons and uniforms from different wars, and see photographs of veterans. Group tours are available by appointment.
