2011 Men's Fashion Trend; Skirts, Kilts, and Crop Tops; Where to Find Men's Kilts

Why Can't a Man Wear a Skirt?

Angel Vee
When it comes to fashion trends it always seems so unfair that you hardly see anything new for the men besides new style jeans or a unique looking jacket if your lucky. Well, don't be surprised for 2011 if you see funky scarf gloves, trendy kilts, sheer shirts, crop tops, and even a man's purse which some refer to as the Murse. These looks are becoming more popular lately.

I never thought I would actually see a man wearing a pleated kilt around my area with tight black skinny jeans underneath and a black t-shirt, and black boots. However to be honest with you, he actually looked really nice and the style suited him very well. So skorts and kilts are on the rise men. Why can't a man wear a skirt? They should be able to wear something to make them feel comfortable and sexy too. It's not my cup of tea and I wouldn't want my husband to wear one, but some men can get away with it. Sting and even Rod Stewart sported a skirt in the past.

Men's Crop Tops

Now we all know with this type of shirt the man better have some nice looking abs. I'm not saying they have to be like Mike The Situation, but if the tummy area is real flabby this style is going to look horrendous.

If your looking for a crop top Calvin Klein has some cool looks, and also Everlast has a couple nice looking ones for a decent price.

Trendy Kilts

Utilikilts.com has a few really cool looking kilts for men. They carry the original with cargo pockets, The Mocker which has great deep pockets to carry all items needed for the day, The Workman's which is great for carry tools, The Survival, and The classy Tuxedo style, which can be worn for any special occasion. Prices are pretty expensive, but if you have the money to burn why not?

Sportkilt.com

This website is definitely more affordable then the first one mentioned above. They have a original, Works kilt, Ultimate, Commando, Hiking, Specialty fabric kilt, Comfy, or even custom. They start at $49.50 and up. Other places are H&M which have a black pleated kilt, and EBay which carries a latex black buckle kilt, plaid, camouflage, Gothic kilt, and other fun styles

Men's Murse Bags

I guess guys need to carry around a lot of items these days as well. Great websites who carry these type of bags are EBay, American Eagle, Hugo Boss, Gargyle.com, Kenneth Cole, Gap, and Steven Alan.

Other 2011 trends you might see are lace shirts, lots of prints, men leggings, and even crochet style shirts. Wow! What interesting looks I would say.

Im a straight male, with kids and so on.I wear a skirt everyday to work and leisure. For me,wearing a skirt feels about as normal as brushing my teeth.Dont give it much thought.I actually feel better in a skirt than pants/jeans.I wear pleated mini skirts.I dont mean "stripper" type.Just about 3 to 4 inches above the knee...so,clothing doesnt tell one sexual preference. That is such closed mind thinking......so....Skirts on Guys !

My last sentence was cut short!

It should say, what is good for one, is surely good for another.

It is ok for women to dress, behave etc without comment and if a man changes from expectations he is odd. If a man comments about a woman he is sexist and an MCP. At the same time a man has to take all forms of comments regardless.

At first glance these days it is hard to distinguish men from women in the dress code, a code that is always used against men as it distinguishes men from women - so they say. I have a web site about why men should be able to wear skirts www.libminded.co.uk and all who know me say that I shouldn't make myself publicly known because of Society’s one sided attitudes.

I am a modern man and was not part of the past. I am no different to any man in this world except thank fully I do not hold any sexist beliefs. If this world is now equal and open (as it should be) then let it be. Stop this cherry picking which is usually done in favour of women. It is men who are now discriminated against these days in many ways not just in dress. What is good for one

Since we all know that skirts are a man's garment but wasn't worn lately in westernzid societies it is time to think forward. Men sopposed to be the skirt wearer, not women because of their body shape. Wome always have been worn dresses but took over skirts, pants, jackets, shirts, ties, vests, hats, shoes, sweater, sweatshirts, etc. from men. You ever heard complains it would not fit female bodies? Never!
So why you are asking if men can wear skirted garments? Why are those discussions about skirts and kilts on men?
Men have to wear it so women can appriciate what they got out of mens wardrobe. Thats the deal.

Charlotte Kuchinsky, why? Do You like when he suffer? Trousers isn't masculine garment because of the anatomy and history. Very importand is that causes overheating our sexual organs (testicles must be kept in temperature 2 to 4 Celsius deg. lower than rest of the body otherwise a risk of some serious diseases incerease dramatically). By history because trousers was invented for women and appeared in Europe in that role.
Try to look from our point of view, do You want to be forced to wear clothes You don't like to wear, especially when You know it's unhealthy?

Of course, men can wear skirted garments, but most they think they can't which is totally wrong.
I just can't understand that men always find excuses for that what they want to do.
In short: They don't have to find any excuses except for the reason staying healthy. A skirt for every men is recommended because:
    1. decrease the risk of prostate cancer
    2. decrease the risk of testicle cancer
    3. more air is flowing through the lower part of the body which helps:
    a. keep legs airy and the reproduction organs in cooler temperature, therefor men do not need any additional supplements for sexual life, and in fall/winter/spring time legs absorbe more sunlight giving the body more Vitamin A
    4. Skirted garments provide much more comfort for the male body than any kind of pants.
Sorry, I couldn't find any reason(s) against skirted garments in case of health for men except old thinking barriers. Do you can find any?

I think I am far ahead, wearing skirts and kilts, even to work, and especially women love it. Got every day great responses. So, where is the point?
Skirts originally only men's garment, women only could wear long dresses in past.

Why does men ask what they can wear? Do men ever restrict what women can wear? No, so what? Where do you think is the border line of equality - or your measure is just a fake.
Men, learn to be a MAN and don't ask what you can do or wear!
