2011 Must Have Prom Accessories

Angel Vee
A must have prom accessory for 2011 is self stick nail polish strips. This new, cool, and easy way to dazzle up your nails is becoming very hot. Why bother going to the nail salon and spending anywhere from $25-$50 dollars just to get your nails done for the prom for one day?

I recently came across this item while searching for things on eBay. At first, I thought I was reading the headline wrong? Then I thought, well maybe these are like decals, so I decided to check them out. This new revolution trend for nails not only saves you money, but saves you time and aggravation as well. Instead of painting your nails for prom a base color and then adding a design to match your gown, you can do this all in one simple step using the self stick nail polish strips. I think for $9.00 it's definitely worth trying out. The styles found on eBay are heart print, purple cheetah, red hearts, pink stars, peace signs, zebra, silver stars and more.

After researching these, I decided to look where else people can find these online, or whatever brands are out there to look into.

Sally Hansen

Sally Hansen carries a brand called "Salon Effects Polish Strips." These come in various styles such as solid colors, metallic shades, flowers, zebra, black & white patterns, glitter, butterflies, leopard, blue ice, neon colors, rainbow, cameo, checkered and more. In each box you get 16 strips, cuticle stick, file, and buffer. That's right no glue needed. Approximate time length for the nails to remain on fingers is 10 days.

Places that sell Sally Hansen nail products are Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, K-mart, Rite Aid, and even certain beauty supply stores such as Sally Beauty.

Sally Hansen is the top brand here, however other companies make these as well.

Incoco, NailWOW, Nail Fraud, Sephora, and Nailexpress.

Another Must Have Prom Accessory (right colors for gown)

This year 2011 prom is all about the tropics. Think bright turquoise, deep purple, rich teal green, sunny yellow, ocean blue, salmon pink, sea green, key lime, fuchsia, pearl white, frosty aqua, Mediterranean blue. If you don't have the right fashion tips, and can't figure out which color to choose. Use this small color guide to help. It will help determine your dress, purse, and shoes.

Last must have for prom 2011 is the makeup. What is hot and what is not? Pink cheeks and pink lips is totally hot, shimmery eyes and pink lips is smoking, bronzed face with awesome cat eyes is exotic, natural nude lips and cheeks with bold dramatic eyes is also a way to go. Just make sure you don't look like a clown, especially knowing many will be taking your picture.
