2011 NCAA Tournament Seeds and Brackets

Kansas, Duke, Ohio State and Pittsburgh Are the Top Seeds

Ohio State (32-2) is the number one seed in the East, Duke (30-4) is the number one seed in the West, Kansas (32-2) is the number one seed in the Southwest, and Pittsburgh (27-5) is the number one seed in the Southeast. There are four play-in games this year, two are for 16th seeds, one is for an eleventh seed, and one is for a twelve seed. The play-in games on Tuesday feature UNC-Asheville (19-13) playing Arkansas-Little Rock (19-16) for the 16th seed in the Southeast and UAB (22-8) plays Clemson (21-111) for the eleventh seed in the East. Wednesday's games include University of Texas San Antonio (19-13) plays Alabama State (17-17) for the 16th seed in the East and USC (19-14) plays VCU (23-11) for the eleventh seed in the Southwest.

Ohio State (32-2) is the top seed in the East. However, fourth seed Kentucky who just won the SEC Tournament appears to be peaking and could pose a challenge. The East also includes third seed Syracuse (26-7) and second seed North Carolina (26-7).

The defending National Champion Duke Blue Devils are the top seed in the West. San Diego State should be sable to get their first NCAA Tournament win and more. Arizona , Texas and UConn also look to challenge.

West Region

The Kansas Jayhawks are the number one seed in the Southwest. Purdue and Notre Dame look poised to challenge the Jayhawks for the Final Four spot.

The Pittsburgh Panthers are the top seed in the Southeast Region. Utah State , Belmont , and BYU are all 30 game winners in this region. The Florida Gators look to rebound from a big loss to Kentucky , and Wisconsin looks ready to make a run in this region.
