2011 Oscars Reactions: A King was Crowned and Franco Flopped

The 2011 Oscars are over. However, the memory of them lingers on. I love movies and I love the Oscars. Too bad I didn't love the Oscar hosts. They were James Franco and Anne Hathaway. James Franco looked bored and stiff. Anne Hathaway did a good job singing and she looked beautiful in almost all of the gowns that she wore. She was funny and fresh. However, I don't think that Anne Hathaway will not be asked back to host the Oscars. But, rest assured, she will be invited back to receive her own Oscar someday. I give Anne a B and I give James a D. He might have been better off staying in the dress, so he could leave at the end of the show unrecognized. I recommend that next year Billy Crystal host the Oscars. Steve Martin would also be a good choice to host this ceremony.

The Oscar fashion was fantastic. I think that most of the women did a good job choosing their dresses. Natalie Portman glowed in a purple off-the shoulder gown. The designer of her Oscar gown was Rodarte. There was also a sea of red gowns on the red carpet. In addition, Michelle Williams looked angelic in a beaded white gown and Halle Berry looked stunning in a beige feathered gown. There were some Oscar fashion mishaps as well. Yes, Melissa Leo won an Oscar; however, she swore like a sailor and looked like a doily in her lace gown. I like Mark Bauer. However, he missed the mark with this "tablecloth" dress. Nicole Kidman also wore a white gown. the top of it was beautiful; however, the bottom looked like she had forgotten to take her napkin off her lap when she was done eating dinner. Nicole Kidman dresses well; therefore, she is allowed one fashion faux pas.

It was also great that Tom Hopper won the Oscar for directing the King's Speech. The Oscars were nicely distributed. In other words, no movie ran away with Oscars. Inception got four Oscars in technical categories. www.movies.yahoo.com/inception. This movie made me a fan of science fiction films. Jesse Eisenberg is a movie star in the making.

This year's Oscars are over. Let the praise and the blame begin. I enjoyed the Oscars. I loved that a king was crowned at the Oscars. I also liked that nerds represented at the Oscars. In addition, dreams were cool as well at this year's Oscars. There was both good and bad fashion on red carpet. in addition, the hosts of the Oscars tried hard. I can't wait until next year's Oscars.
