2011 Paint Color Trends for Artisans and Crafters

Mix and match a green, a blue, a neutral and one warm bright in your home crafting space.

Greens

Yolo Colorhouse Thrive .02 adds a sense of peace and calm to your crafting space. This is like a Celadon green minus the blue underhue and promises growth, much like the first buds on a tree when spring returns.

Sherwin-Williams offers SW6711 Parakeet green which is a citrus green best used in moderation. Or go darker and delve into the backyard on a sunny day with SW6445 Garden Grove.

Blues

If you dream of a bright blue somewhere between a peacock feather and the popular 1980s fashion blue, Yolo Colorhouse Dream .05 is the blue for you. It has depth and will invigorate any creative space.

Tempo Teal SW6947 from Sherwin-Williams is more on the blue side and asks you to dive in and stay awhile.

Brights

Yolo Colorhouse Create .03 is an earthy caramel which pairs well the a greenish blue. It's not a dull brown, it's one with some life infused inside. Or break free from earthly delights and soar with a sunny hue like Quilt Gold SW6696 from Sherwin-Williams.

Neutrals

If you took a walk by a river and looked at the color of the smoothed stones while submerged under moving water, you may spy a color similar to Yolo Colorhouse Stone .06. This is a medium neutral that will keep your feet grounded while your creativity soars.

If you like your neutrals more gray than brown, consider Sherwin-Williams' Steely Gray SW7664. For a shared space a happy medium would be a traditional neutral, Accessible Beige SW7036 from Sherwin-Williams.
