2011 Scion TC: More Hp and Mpg

Kyle Busch
The 2011 Scion
(Toyota) tC's
horsepower and
miles per gallon
are both up.

This sporty car
will also be slightly
larger and more ex-
pensive at $18,275
(up from $17,820)
with its six-speed
manual transmission.
It's priced at $19,275
with the six-speed

automatic. The car will arrive in Toyota showrooms this October.

This new Scion will be the same length but it will be 1.6 inches wider and the
engine increases from a 2.4 to a 2.5-liter 4-cylnder now making 180 horsepower.
Even with its more powerful engine (up 19 hp) the gas mileage will increase by 3
to 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway with the manual transmission.
Expect the automatic to provide about the same gas mileage.

At has been customary, the interior of the Scion tC has excellent fit, finish
and is done in high quality materials. The seats are comfortable and supportive
when the driver takes to twisty roads. And with the six-speed transmission in
manual or auto mode, the car cruises effortlessly on the highway.

The front grille is reported to have a bit more of a sinister look although the
styling is not too wild.

All in all, the Scion tC is sporty and easily to live with day-in and day-out.
