2011 Spring Fashion for Kids

Anyone forget the 80's? If so, you are about to re-visit the past. Look what fashion has in store for your youngsters. You will be seeing bright, maybe even loud colors. Stripes are definitely in, for boys or girls. If you like lace, you will love the puffed out skirts that are back in fashion. With the new fashion season comes the new hairdos. Whether you have a boy or a girl, long hair is in for spring. The 80's are really here again.

Layered clothing is back, just in time for the cooler spring days. Girls can wear tees under their strapless or spaghetti strapped summer dresses. Wearing printed tee shirts with stripe or plain button up shirts is "cool" too. The shirt is supposed to be worn completely unbuttoned. Let it all hang out. Nothing is tucked in.

Belts can be worn with everything, especially dresses, and jeans. This year accessorizing with belts is even more affordable. Most department store clothing that is jeans or a dress will come with a belt.

Tiered dresses for spring are a fashionable statement. Your child can be comfortable and in style with a tiered dress.

Lace is beautiful on everything. The 80's may have proved that wrong, but lace is back. Dresses for spring are accented with lace around the bottom or have lace trim. Lace is also a hot item on puffed out short skirts. If you have forgotten Cyndi Lauper or Madonna these clothes will certainly remind you. The good news is that I have not seen the net and lace tights or panty hose yet.

Pleated dresses that seem to have a shape of their own are in style this spring. The dresses can be worn to church or parties depending on your child's tastes. The dresses come in a variety of colors and styles with pleats.

Plaids, prints, and floral designs are found on most of the spring clothing. Pastel colors are bright so be prepared for the spring designs to stand out.

Bubble dresses are dresses that are slim and then at the bottom look like a bubble. These dresses look the way they are made on a slim no shape body. Children should be adorable wearing these dresses.

Fitted Tees are great to wear layered or by themselves. The layered style requires another shirt over the fitted tee. The shirt can be a pullover or a button shirt. This especially looks good with jeans or pants.

Printed tees can be worn under button shirts. The button shirt should be left open revealing the tee. This usually looks best with jeans.

Jeans for girls should be bootleg or slim, but with a belt. Boys can choose from regular, slim or boot cut jeans. Most of the girls' jeans already come with belts this season. Enjoy the free accessory.

Shark bite skirt and dresses are adorable. They are another look from years gone buy. These skirts look uneven. They look as if a shark did bite them. The shark bite skirt is usually very flowing and great for any occasion.

Styles change frequently and we are seeing old styles revisited. If the cost of style is too much, you may want to pull out your old clothes or even visit a thrift store. What may seem old to you is new again.
