Skiing and Music Await You in Telluride

One of the most beautiful ski resorts in Colorado, Telluride Ski Resort offers many outdoor recreational activities for all family members. Nestled in the the southwestern Rocky Mountains, Telluride Ski Resort is a great place for a winter vacation.

Besides its beautiful location, Telluride Ski Resort is well known for hosting many types of musical events during the year. The 2011 winter season is no different with many musical acts scheduled during this time. What's better than skiing and a little music afterwards?

January 1: Mogul Competition on Smugglers Mountain

January 2: The Mighty Diamonds perform at the Sheridan Opera House. Tickets are $20 and the show begins at 8pm. Standing Room Only.

January 3: Snowshoe Tour with Eco Adventures. An expert naturalist will guide you through trails as you search for wildlife and learn about the area. Please call 970 728-7300 for tickets and information.

January 11: Telluride Eco Adventures for Kids. Telluride Ski Resort instructors will teach kids about the environment, nature, trees, and look for animal tracks. Call 970 728-7383 to schedule this adventure for your kids.

January 14: The Neil Diamond Tribute Band is in concert at Telluride Ski Resort. This will be at the Sheridan Opera House at 9 pm. Call 970 728-6363 for tickets.

January 22: Roger Clyne Returns to Telluride Ski Resort. FunCo is bringing back Roger Clyne for one show only at the Sheridan Opera House. Show begins at 9 pm. Please call 602 944-1717 for tickets or more information.

January 23: "Who's Bad?" A Michael Jackson Tribute. Back by demand, this Michael Jackson cover band will perform at the Sheridan Opera House. Be sure to dress in your favorite Michael Jackson era clothing as prizes will be awarded for each decade. For more information, go to their website at http://www.whosbadmusic.com.

February 5: 16th Annual Chocolate Lovers Fling. This delicious event will be held at the Telluride Conference Center. Sample amazing chocolates, dress up and dance all night.

February 17-20: The Telluride Comedy Festival at Telluride Ski Resort. This festival celebrates comedy with loads of laughs and stand up acts. Bring your best humor with you.

February 26-March 5: Gay Ski Week at Telluride.

April 1: Radio KOTO Street Dance and Pink Flamingo Party begins at 2:45pm on Main Street. Celebrating the end of the ski season at Telluride Ski Resort, this party will have live music, beer, and awards for best costumes judged by KOTO Radio.

April 3: Closing Day at Telluride Ski Resort.
