Finding the right accessories for your look is almost as important as choosing the right clothes, or shoes. And you know how much we love shoes! So, selecting the right hair accessories can make or break the total style you are trying to make. The trendiest hair accessories in Hollywood are many, so you are sure to find one here that will suit the look you are going for.
Featherlocks:
One of the biggest trends of 2011 are featherlocks. Skinny strips of colorful feathers that either clip in, or are glued in to your own hair adding flair to your locks. We have Steven Tyler to thank for this one. He's been wearing feathers for years and now women have really taken it to heart. Feathers can be blend-in subtle by matching them close to your hair color, or be bold and make a statement by selecting bright colorful feathers. Fishermen have known the "lure" of feathers on their lines always help reel in more fish, and for years they have fashioned them into dozens of styles; short feathers, long skinny feathers, multi-colored, clip-on, etc.
Hair Extensions & Braids:
Don't let them fool you...every star gets hair extensions at some point. Some celebrities, like Lady Gaga, use dozens of extensions, wigs, accessories and props regularly. The market and trends in extensions, braids and the like won't be putting the brakes on any time soon, they are here to stay. If you like the look of a certain hair extension or braid, be sure to experiment with the less expensive pieces first, then decide what you like best, and pay the little extra for the quality pieces once you find your preferred style.
Ornate Vintage Jewelry & Hats:
Perfect for special occasions, why not add dazzle to your hair? Hollywood's red carpet is always full of jeweled and glittery hair accessories such as; vintage hair clips, crystal barrettes, cute hats, or sparkly headbands. Add some sparkle to your night with a jeweled hair clip, or diamond studded head band.
Simple Ribbons & Scarves:
These will never go out of style. Stars love to wear scarves in creative ways, especially as hair accessories. The simple elegance of a classic ribbon in the hair can work wonders for your overall look.
Those are just a few ideas for the trendiest hair accessories of 2011 in Hollywood. Find what looks best with your style.

Post a CommentHair extensions were popular when I was a kid.
Very cool, I've always wanted to wear hats, but they don't agree with me... :o)
great info, have to try some of these!
I've seen gals in SoCal with gossamer strands (like Christmas tree tinsel) in their hair. They are in there like hair extensions. Just a few. Pretty!
There's so much versatility.,
I see feathers and hats in or on all the teens hair around here.
Hair is so trendy.
One of the local shops was doing pink hair extensions (braided not glued) for breast cancer awareness. Only charging $10 and all proceeds went to the Making Strides campaign. Nice twist :) cheers!
I love the featherlocks. I see many women in NY sporting them too.
I am so not trendy. I pretty much never put anything in my hair except plain hair clips, hair bands and bobby pins. But back in the early 90s, I remember when the big bows on clips were the coolest and we had to match them to our outfits. Now I just look ridiculous in old pictures. I assume people will feel the same about the feather trend in a few years, but who knows...things are always changing.
