2011 Trendy Hairstyles for Spring

If Your Hair Feels Good, You Feel Better

Spring 2011's hair trends show that most anything can be made to look up to date. It's no secret that women's hair trends have made news since the beginning of time. One need to do no more than flip the pages of a history book or take a look through a family photo or scrap book to easily find those trends.

History also show us that various trends come and go and then come and go again. They may be just a bit varied, but the basic look remains.

Some research tells us that the 40s side part is back in full force for spring 2011 hair styling. This side part works for most lengths of hair and is often draped in front and held with a barrette or your choice of hair clasp. It's also up to you which side is the best parted for your face shape and any hair problems or concerns. Deep side parts or those just off center will likely be choices made by you and your hairdresser.

The fringe look, of the past few seasons continues to be popular. This style hugs the face and can also be worn any length. Bangs are a big bang for your buck and updating this look. Bangs can be trimmed straight across the forehead, or they can be pushed to one side,or even split in the middle.

French rolls and nape buns of the past will be seen both daytime and for evening hair. These are not the messy rolled up hair with a pin shoved in to hold them. Rather they are pulled neatly and more tightly secured. They present a well-groomed, professional and stylish look.

Hair color is big. 2011 will bring more of different color choices with less of the popular sun streaks. As with clothes, whenever you see it on all of your friends, they move the trend forward.

For more fullness, hair stylists suggest drying from bottom up and applying short wisps of spray on the bottom layers of your hair. This helps to prevent the top layer from falling flat and you not having the look you wanted.

Spring 2011 hairstyles give you opportunity to step up and try something new. At the same time, if your style has been updated in the past few years, you may be very comfortable with keeping your look the same for now.

I have thin, fine hair so I'm limited as to what I can do with it, whatever the current trends are.
