Six new breeds will be entered into the 2011 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this year. Boykin Spaniel (Sporting Group), Bluetick Coonhound (Hound Group), Redbone Coonhound ( Hound Group), Cane Corso (Working Group), Leonberger (Working Group), and Icelandic Sheep Dog (Herding Group).
The first year the Westminster Dog Show was held was 1907, The winner that year and for the first three years was a Fox Terrier named Ch Warren Remedy, owned by Winthrop Rutherfurd. The Winner of the 2010 Westminster Dog Show was a Scottish Terrier named Ch Roundtown Mercedes of Maryscot. The owner is Amelia Musser.
The 2011 Winner of the Westminster Dog Show will be announced on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the end of this years show.
