2011's Dancing on Ice Line-up Revealed

Get your ice skates at the ready! This year's celebrity line-up for Dancing On Ice has been revealed! Stars of radio, television, sports and more have been signed up for the 2011 series of Dancing On Ice which begins on ITV1 on January 9^th.

Rumours about Kerry Katona's appearance on Dancing On Ice have been circulating for many months. It has now been officially confirmed that she will take to the ice in the upcoming series. This will not be Kerry's first appearance on a celebrity reality television show. She formerly won I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, but has been best known in recent years for her string of turbulent relationships, reported drug and alcohol addictions and starring in commercials for the supermarket, Iceland.

Jeff Brazier will also be slipping into his ice skates for the 2011 series of Dancing On Ice. Jeff Brazier is now a television presenter, but he too has starred in reality shows. He appeared on Channel 4's Shipwrecked, then was later a part of Celebrity Wife Swap with his then partner Jade Goody, Celebrity Wrestling and The Farm.

Loose Women star Denise Welch will be the second of the Loose Women panel to attempt Dancing On Ice. Two years ago, Colleen Nolan skated her way to fourth place on the show. Denise Welch will surely be looking to - at the very least - match her colleague's success!

Former Coronation Street actor Steven Arnold will be doing it for the boys in 2011. Up until very recently, Steven Arnold played Ashley Peacock in Coronation Street but his character was killed off during the show's 50^th anniversary episodes which featured a horrifying tram crash.

Other stars who will appear in 2011's Dancing On Ice are: rapper Vanilla Ice, former newsreader Angela Rippon, former Hollyoaks and Eastenders actor Sam Attwater, Hollyoaks beauty Jennifer Metcalfe, Richard and Judy's daughter Chloe Madeley, ex Neighbours actor Craig McLachlan, cricketer Dominic Cork, Dave Vitty (Comedy Dave from Radio 1), actress Nadia Sawalha, Ellen Rives (ex girlfriend of Frank Lampard) and finally Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry.

Lance Corporal John Beharry is the first non-entertainment star to ever appear on Dancing On Ice. LCpl Beharry was awarded the Victoria Cross in 2005 for showing immense bravery in Iraq in 2004 by steering his colleagues to safety after receiving shrapnel wounds to his brain while driving an armoured vehicle. LCpl Beharry now works in the Army recruitment office in London.

As always, it is a mixed bag of contestants for Dancing On Ice 2011, but none of them can afford to be complacent as four of them will be axed before the competition even begins. There will be two specials on January 9^th and January 16^th, during which the number of participants will be cut down from sixteen to twelve.

Another surprise this year is the changes to the judging panel. In spite of Jason Gardiner's sharp tongue, he remains on the ice panel for another year alongside Robin Cousins and Emma Bunton. Nicky Slater was axed from the show last month and Karen Barber is set to be head coach to the contestants instead of her usual judging role.
