2012 Celebrity Breakup Predictions: Who's Next?

During the holiday break it seems the number of breakups, and hookups, doubled or even tripled in Tinsel Town. There were many during the final months of the year, and it seems that the final few weeks were quite unprecedented.

Will 2012 become the year even more supposedly happy Hollywood couples see an end to their relationship? Of course the odds may be with us on this one, but here is a look at our breakup predictions over the next twelve months.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson

Although Jessica Simpson has a baby bump that is growing larger by the minute, there is reason to believe her relationship with fiance' Eric Johnson may not last through the end of the year. The couple have been on again off again as far as their wedding date goes, and OK reported that Johnson knew " how important it was to her to be married before the baby was born," but he's holding the wedding hostage as he refuses to sign a prenup.

The former NFL player allegedly feels entitled to half of the singer-turned-fashion mogul's $700 million empire, and the report alleged that Simpson wanted to rush the wedding so that her child wouldn't be born out of wedlock, and "so that she wouldn't walk down the aisle with this massive bump." It's too late for that at this point, with no ceremony taking place by New Year's Day, and the situation doesn't bode well for a lasting relationship. Could there be a split by December 31, 2012?

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake

It's been reported that beautiful actress Jessica Biel and her on again off again boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, are now engaged . The enterprising musician may have temporarily come to his senses after they split earlier this year, afraid to lose the "New Year's Eve" star to another man, but Timberlake has been known to stray, and allegedly cheated on Biel with actress Olivia Munn in the fall of 2010.

Those rumors were denied, but the pop sensation was reportedly seen kissing another woman while he was in a relationship with Biel in 2009. Actress Lindsay Lohan even took a photo of the incident and posted over Twitter, "So dark where's jb cheater?"

With so many ups and downs in the couples' relationship, we wouldn't be surprised to hear they've made a permanent split before any wedding bells are heard.

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick

While some speculate that Britney Spears fiance', Jason Trawick, may be in the relationship for the money, whether it's true or not is up for debate. What is true, is the likelihood of a lasting romance for the couple is probably not that great.

The 30-year-old pop singer may make it down the aisle for the third time, but we predict that the teen star will soon lose interest with her former agent, who is a decade older, and begin to look for someone who is closer to her own maturity level. For her two young children's sake, we do hope we are wrong.
