"2012" Has Something to Do with 2010

Perhaps most of us are already familiar with the newest movie hit of the Year, entitled "2012". When I first saw the cheesy trailer, I realized fear and doubt myself to watch it. Year 2012 could be a peak of my life, my career, everything and what's going to happen out there if it's not Philippines in the movie. Well, how big is my county if what is sited there is the world coming to an end? But then I did what the makers really intend to make me. After I watched 2012, I was pretty amazed of how they had created such a wonderful and fantastic movie. I then had to admit to myself that my time and money were really not wasted at all. Because I truly enjoyed every scenario of the movie, along with my family and so, let me share with you this time, some of the values I've learned from that cheesy, heart devastating movie.

First of all, for me, the movie had just defined and showed what may happen to us in the so called "end of the world. Even from the least of God's life creation there is the logic of birth and extinction. Animals are born; they bear another, and later die. Humans do the same. Now the point they're sharing to us is a much greater creation, the Earth and we're living on it eating and eating its life to no avail left for her. Friends and fellows please look at the changing world you live in.

The movie also tells us that money or wealth could no longer spare your life in the midst of calamities. Well, this thought is a crap already do you agree? Another one is that I also realized that sometimes, we, people just remember God when we need most of His gracious mercy. Often times we tend to forget Him when we already have nothing to ask from Him. And so, the question is...do we have the right to blame God if ever there will be calamities which may come our way? Of course you could answer that! It's never God's fault why we encounter these devastating calamities.

How about the war? The most gruesome massacre happened in my country just recently. I would not want to reiterate the bloody scene here because never should I be proud of it. It's the concern with pleasing human-creation which causes the loss of all spiritual growth of humans. In the fundamental level, no sole person could make it well. Prayer is the most peaceful way to prove our help.

Some sensationalists are giving people an excuse not to do anything with their lives. Some people might figure that since the world is going to end in 2012 anyway, why do anything? The sad truth is that they're causing this entire ruckus for nothing and getting everybody to panic over nothing. Some were just reminding and telling us not to believe for they had reserved a dear of hope in their hearts, and that change must do something. For me, nothing is going to happen in 2012 except maybe a shift to more positive thinking; which, I can see is already slowly taking place through the public media. Everyone just needs a little matter of reminder through awareness, sharing and hopefulness.

For a better change on 2010!
