2012 Presidential Elections: Sarah Palin and the Republican Party

John Mario
I just read that the two leading Republican candidates for 2012 Presidential elections are Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin reserves the option of running for President in 2012. Judging by Sarah Palin's campaign rhetoric in 2008, she going to be very nasty. Mitt Romney is in for a brutal campaign.

There are a number of issues that might prevent Sarah Palin from becoming the Republican Presidential Candidate in 2012. The biggest issue will be her blunders during the 2008 Presidential elections. It seems Sarah was her own worst enemy when she spoke to reporters.

If Sarah Palin repeats her nasty campaign of 2008 against Obama in 2012, she will defeat herself. If she makes blunders when talking to reporters, Obama will win by a landslide.

Irritating Obama supporters with nasty insults isn't the only way to hand Obama a 2012 election victory. Advocating a war with Iran may please some Republican politicians, but personally I consider the idea pure lunacy. Furthermore, it totally negates any Republican statement about reducing the national debt.

We have two wars on our hands: Afghanistan and Iraq. Sarah Palin wants a third war. I have the same question for Sarah Palin that Republican politicians had about health reform: Where will the money come from?

I wrote one other article about Sarah Palin and war with Iran. That article focused on the horrors of war and the chances of the Iran war becoming a world wide nuclear war. It questioned Sarah Palin's knowledge about nuclear war. Here is a link to that article titled "Does Sarah Palin Know Anything About Nuclear Weapons?"

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2879656/does_sarah_palin_know_anything_about.html?cat=9

Republican politicians like Sarah Palin are not interested in learning from past experiences. They are only interested in starting new wars that will have to be financed via increasing the national deficit.

Sarah Palin sometimes reminds me of a little child that just received his first set of toy soldiers. "Bang! Bang! Bang! Kaboom!" The child joyfully yells as he moves his soldiers around and swings his toy war planes through the air. It's all a game to a child. There are no consequences.

Republican politicians look back at Ronald Reagan. I wonder how many of them realize that Ronald Reagan regretted sending troops to Beirut. I wonder if Sarah Palin realizes the terrible pains of war that will tear her apart like it did to many Presidents including President Johnson and President Bush. I wonder if Sarah Palin or any Republican politician advocating war with Iran are in touch with reality.

Note that the Republican politicians did not criticize Ronald Reagan for the nuclear arms reduction treaty with Russia. And if Obama were a Republican, the Republican party would be praising his efforts for nuclear arms reduction and world peace instead of criticizing them. The Republicans would be supporting Obama's efforts to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists.

But that is only part of my concerns about the Republican party. The Republican politicians have constantly waged a war against the unfortunate, the retired and the poor. If you don't have to pay IRS taxes, you mean nothing to the Republican politicians. This was clearly stated by John McCain in the 2008 Presidential campaign. Barack Obama correctly pointed out that there are hard working people who don't earn enough to pay IRS taxes. The Republican politicians are bound and determined to balance the budget on the backs of the poor, increase our national deficit via a third war, tax cuts and tax incentives.

I didn't like Sarah Palin in '08, I didn't like her when she quit as governor, and I don't like her now. She will guarantee a Republican defeat in '12 if she's the GOP's nominee. Goosd article, John.

As usual, you make some very valid points in this one. Thanks for a unique take on the reason why Sarah Palin will definitely lose the 2012 election. But, i will love the run because she is definitely a mephistophelian! (Haha) I am trying out new words.

In this corner - the Quitta from Wasilla! Gov. Half Term! SARAH PALIN!
and in the other corner - the man who changes his mind, and whose sons serve America by working for him - Multiple Choice Mitt!
