A while back, I read Nostradamus subtitled "Prophecies for Women" by Mascetti and Lorie. A beautiful book, and wonderfully illustrated, the writings predicted a woman president by this time, based on astrology predictions derived from Nostradamus quatrains.
After reading through, I felt really bad for the male/female coauthors thinking how it was such a shame that their prediction was totally wrong. Soon after I finished reading it, President Obama became president.
This year I picked up another book that crossed my path at the bookstore where I volunteer once a week. When I first open the store in the morning, I almost always encounter a serendipitous find that turns out to be relevant to my current interests.
In any event, the most recent book that appeared serendipitously is 2012 subtitled "The Return of Quetzalcoatl." Author, Daniel Pinchbeck has a really broad perspective about the Mayan prophecies that supposedly indicate the end of the world.
What is the point of all of this? O.k. I'm getting there. The prediction of a woman president was literally wrong as per Mascetti and Lorie, but figuratively correct according to most of the dialogue concerning cosmic consciousness as in Pinchbeck's 2012 book.
President Obama's intentions are high minded, and focused on improvement. In this light, right brain type problem solving, which has always been associated with feminine and the intuitive, is taking place through this president's administration.
The first time I heard of this shifting of consciousness was in the 60's, so I have been on a quest to gather information on this topic ever since then.
Sometimes this other worldly literature gets ahead of me, but other writings that indicate we, humanity, will be manifesting revolutionary changes within ourselves, and the right brain, intuitive mind that is typically associated with femininity is making a return!
So maybe the Nostradamus Prophecies for women interpretation was only a little off.
Getting back to Daniel Pinchbeck's impressive work, he has focused on the Mayan version of 2012 . Approaching with much reservation, I finally concluded he's got a grasp on this 2012 thing. How could he not - his references are impeccable and plentiful.
Throughout the lines, time after time, he goes to the importance of right brain and intuitive thinking from several different viewpoints. He sites the end of the Mayan calendar to mean the end of our left-brain, overly rational consciousness. That's a median line description.
In other places, Pinchbeck gets radical as if to suggest that science has bludgeoned us over the head for too long. Yes, he believes that science has become dictatorial, and probably because of research funding issues.
The reason science is postured as implausible is because of our format of time keeping. When it's rhythmically out of tune with the universe, the theories tend to lose authenticity.
Changes in consciousness will be necessary. Because, in order to survive, we will need to have an actual higher vibration rate, given that when the Sun moves into that certain shaded spot of the Milky Way - there will be huge electro magnetic changes.
2012 necessitates us to realign our way of thinking first by opening our minds to the creative part of our brains. In turn, this will start a chain reaction that will get us ready for the future.
So does the Nostradamus reference to feminine actually parallel the theories espoused in "2012" by Daniel Pinchbeck? Hopefully, the answer will come about by the year 2012, and it won't be so cataclysmic as some people are making it sound.

Post a CommentHopefully, we'll all still be here in 2013. :-)
I can't see it, but it's fun to speculate!
A change in consciousness is needed in the US and worldwide. High consciousness is a higher vibration and energy. When we change our minds, we can change our lives, and change the world.
Don't believe in prophesies.
Fascinating analysis... I share your optimism. It's funny because I saw a couple on Wife Swap who were big 2012ers. They were buying big screen TVs and the like with no payments for two years thinking no one would be around to collect their money.
The world has not ended in 4.6 billion years. Chances are, it's going to get through 2012 without ending again. But saying it is is a good way to sell books.
I expect to see everyone (who is still around to be seen) in 2013. Writing a book is a long way from creating reality.... Whether centuries ago or today.
