Bill's triangular white diamond is called a silver cape because of the frosty appearance and flat shape. Because this park is open to the public, visitors can keep the gems they find there. The largest diamond found at the park so far was found in 1975, by W.W. Johnson , from Texas. It was a 16.37 carat white diamond.
The park opened in 1951 as the Diamond Preserve of the United States. The name was later changed to the Crater of Diamonds. In 1972, the State Of Arkansas bought the land for a state park for $750,000. This park is still the only diamond producing site open to the public in the world.

Wow indeed. Wish I could find something like that instead of another "JAR" (Just A Rock).
Why can't I be this lucky? :-)
I was telling a friend about this article and had to come back and see what state it was in. I knew it was one of those where you marry your sister.
