23-cent Papa John's Pizza Deal Westerville-Columbus, Ohio

My husband & I ordered pizzas from Papa Johns today. They were selling them for 23 cents due to their Labron James issue. The shocking part-all Papa John's in the area closed their doors at 8:30!

To apologize for selling Lebron James "Crybaby" in Washington, D.C., on Friday Papa John's is selling pizza for 23cents today! My husband and I ordered from them and were shocked to find out that not only was the location in Westerville inundated with pizza buyers but they were actually CLOSING THEIR DOORS EARLY! Every location around us was shutting down early because of the event. What started out as an effort to apologize has turned into a bust, they can't continue to provide the pizzas and are closing down just at the time when most people are home and ready to order! What a joke. I'm sure there will be other 'crybabies' around the city tonight when they find out they can't cash in on the great deal.

Westerville and most Columbus area locations were offering the deal to support the apology to Lebron James and his fans. We tried to get the pizza but they are closing early and shutting down for the night b/c of all of the people buying the pizzas for 23-cents. The lines were CRAZY long!! People were lined up out the door and down the sidewalk in our location! Everyone seems to have heard about the deal and the Papa John's workers are a bit frazzled. I think they're running out of ingredients. If they're going to offer a deal like this they should've been prepared to stay open through normal business hours. They told my husband & I that we would be their last customers of the night.

The buzz in our town is that it's not necessarily something we, the fans, expected but boy do we appreciate the chance to get a 23-cent pizza!!! We think it's wild that there has been such a huge turnout today and more so this evening. People want to take advantage of the savings, that's for sure.

Papa John's is always delicious but there's something about only having to pay 23-cents that makes it taste even better! Although, anything tastes great when it's almost free! We just can't get over the fact that they closed early ... kind of makes me question the sincerity of the apology ... or maybe they just didn't think so many of us would show up. At any rate - I hope you enjoyed your 23-cent pizza too!
