$2500 in 25 Days Using Household Trash: Article #2 Note Pads
Cash in on Your Child's Used Assignment Sheets!
1. Collect 25 sheets of used schoolwork or paper that has been printed on one side only
2. Load one sheet in your printer so that it will print on an unused side.
3. Copy the lilac page in the back of the book or find four images equally sized approximately 3x3 inches. (Dinosaurs, flowers, comic characters, and school mascot themes sell best) Arrange them equally on each quarter of the 8 1/2 x 11 document.
4. Print or copy and cut into 4 quarters.
5. Cut used school assignment paper into quarters and place one printed image on each pile of paper, printed sides down.
6. Staple each pad twice across the top.
7. Cover staples with self adhesive ribbon or glue ribbon or construction paper over them. Add flowers or stickers to decorate. If you are good at lettering a nice touch is to hand letter the buyers name onto the top of the pad.
You can make 100 of these very quickly and sell them for $1.00 each. These sell well at school and church fund-raising functions, recycling centers, or set up a table at an environmentalist rally or community minded grocery or health food store.
Accept plastic bags or cans for the store at the same table to entice the store owner to allow you publicize their recycling program while you sell.
Pledge half of your profit to a learning center for the disabled or a children's daycare program to maximize interest.
