2X Ultra Tide Plus Febreze Detergent for Bright, Clean, Fresh Smelling Clothes

Susan Slade

I have been lucky enough to receive several free products from Tide. The one I am reviewing today is 2X Ultra Tide Plus Febreze Detergent.

The first time I used it was after getting a one load sachet in the mail. We were going to one of our timeshares, and I only take enough clothes to get us through a few days, and then do washing, as we have a washer and dryer in the unit.

The washer is very small, and I normally do washing on day three, and day six. This way I don't have to bring dirty clothes home.

I had three lots of underwear from both of us, a couple of tee shirts, socks, and a top from me. I put them in the washing machine. I then slit the edge of the sachet, and poured half of the 2X Ultra Tide Plus Febreze Detergent, and started up the machine.

I loved the smell from the thick blue liquid. The sample I had received was Spring & Renewal. When the washing had finished, I took it out, and the fresh smell was in my arms. I then put it into the dryer, without a fabric softener.

The white clothes were a bright white, and the colors looked great too. The Febreze wafted up, and I felt good about the laundry. The clothes weren't hard, which often happens, when you don't use a fabric softener.

Then I used the second half of the sachet on the 6th day. I know the clothes weren't really dirty, and that I was washing them to freshen them up. Again the clothes were bright, clean, and smelled wonderful.

Upon my return home, I wanted to check out what other fragrances 2X Tide Plus Febreze Detergent had. It is available in Seaside Fresh, and Sport. I decided to stick with the Spring & Renewal fragrance, and bought the 45 load size, in Walgreens drugstore, for $11.99. I used a $2 off coupon, which brought it down to $9.99.

This is more than I pay for CVS or Walgreens own brand of liquid detergent, but I have to use more of it, and also a dryer sheet too. When I weigh this up, I think that the Tide goes a lot further than the other brands. It also states on the Tide website that:

"Tide plus Febreze Freshness gives you great cleaning with the Febreze freshness you love. And now, it offers improved freshness that releases as you move through your day. Tide plus Febreze Freshness has also been reformulated to give you about 20 percent more loads per bottle, making it an even bigger value."

Tide has brought me back to it. Forty years ago, in England, this was the only washing detergent I used. I have Tide Stain Release in-wash Booster tablets that I use in my washing once a month. The latest Tide product for me to purchase is Tide Stain Release in a spray bottle.

Whatever stains, drips, we get on our clothing, I know that Tide will remove them. Sometimes it takes years, to go a complete circle, and come back to a product that you trusted.

Spring & Renewal is available in 30, 45, 60 and 90 loads size.

DISCLOSURE OF MATERIAL CONNECTION:
I received a sample to try, and then went out and purchased a full-size product.

Tide is certainly a great product - I love the security of having a Tide To Go stick in my purse for those spilling accidents that can occur. The Tide plus Febreze product will get a look-see from me as I currently use Dreft. rcj
