3 Albuquerque Burger Joints for Meals Under $10
The Location - With over 30 locations in the Albuquerque area; you will be able to find a Blake's from Bernalillo to Rio Rancho, throughout Albuquerque and on down to Los Lunas. Chances are that no matter where you are in the city, you will be fairly close to a Blake's.
The Menu - The menu selection at Blake's is pretty much burger joint classic. Burgers, fries, hot dogs, corn dogs, cheese dogs, chili cheese dogs, onion rings, chicken tenders and they also serve breakfast burritos and sandwiches.
The Atmosphere - We imagine that Blake's atmosphere hasn't changed much in the over 50 years they have been in business in Albuquerque. Again, typical burger joint atmosphere. Nothing fancy or pretentious; just good food at reasonable prices.
Little Red Hamburger Hut
The Location - Located in downtown Albuquerque, at 1501 Mountain Road, NW.
The Menu - Another straight forward burger joint menu with a few local twists thrown in. Burgers, fries, tortilla burgers, enchiladas, taco burger, Frito pie and chili fries. Hand made burgers and hand cut fries set this one apart from the offerings of the chain burger restaurant. Cheese and chile are free on all burgers.
The Atmosphere - Customer reviews for this family owned business state that the restaurant is clean, service was good, staff was friendly and the food was tasty. This one is a local spot with funky décor and good atmosphere.
Lumpy's Burgers
The Location - Lumpy's Burgers is located on the West Mesa on historic route 66. Their address is 5420 Central Ave SW.
The Menu - It doesn't get much more typical burger joint than this; burgers, fries, drinks and corn dogs and chicken strips for the kids. What isn't so typical is the way you select, order and receive your food. Paper bags with printed food selections serve as your order form and the bag that you receive your food in. You also hold the potatoes that you have picked out to be cooked up for you after you have selected the cut you want; chunky, skinny or skrewy.
The Atmosphere - Lumpy's is a walk-up burger joint with outdoor dining.
