3 Best Colorado Bed & Breakfasts for Romantic Getaways and Leisurely Retreats
Getaway to These Places for Some Real Relaxation
These are my picks for the absolute best Bed & Breakfasts in Colorado.
The Briar Rose Bed and Breakfast. Located in Boulder, Co. this bed & breakfast offers the ultimate in eco friendly luxury. Rooms are spacious and roomy. We stayed in the Antero room which offered us beautiful mountain views. The Briar Rose is continually looking to upgrade their eco friendliness. Everything from the sheets on the bed to the paint on the wall has been given the utmost thought when it comes to preserving our environment. Breakfast was completely organic and delicious. The service was great and friendly, and the rooms were meticulous and clean. Our rate was $179 for one night, and we would have been willing to pay more.
Castle Marne. This is one of the neatest bed & breakfasts I have ever stayed in. If you or your family wish to experience staying in a real live castle then this is the place. Castle Marn was built in 1889 but has all the amenities you would expect from a modern bed & breakfast including wifi. Our room was the Raymond room and was equipped with a jacuzzi...yes a jacuzzi, and it was on a private balcony. This bed & breakfast has so much charm and elegance, and the service you receive from the family is second to none. Make sure and enjoy the always full cookie jar, as well as a stroll around the grounds. Romantic dinners are available each night for an additional cost. Our room cost us about $200 for one night.
The Apple Orchard Inn. For those staying in the Durango area this is the place to stay. The Apple Orchard Inn is the finest bed & breakfast in Durango. Set on a stunning 4 acres in the heart of Durango, there is plenty to do while staying at the Apple Orchard. This Farmhouse style home features great breakfasts, afternoon snacks, and modern amenities. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Mcintosh room which gave us some beautiful views of the mountains. Our room had a King sized bed with comfortable and warm bedding, and a private bath.
Each of these three bed & breakfasts will make patrons feel special upon check in, and will leave you hoping to return quickly. If you have never experienced one of these Colorado bed & breakfasts I encourage you to do so quickly.
