You may be nervous for your first date, and your date may be nervous too. So, why not take the guesswork out of a place to go or meet? Here's a list of places that you both will enjoy, and will hopefully take some of the pressure off this exciting time in your lives! There is something for everyone on this list, and something for everyone's budget! These are listed in no particular order.

Sugarland in Chapel Hill, NC. Whether you have ever visited this fine establishment or not, I'm sure you both will love it. They offer something for everyone. Well, at least everyone with a sweet tooth. They have coffee, espresso drinks, gelato, cupcakes and more! The seating area has a variety of types of seats and sizes of tables. If it happens to be busy when you arrive, which wouldn't be unheard of because it's amazing, you could always grab your gelato and take a stroll with your date. Sugarland is located on Franklin Street in downtown Chapel Hill, so it is centrally located to the UNC Chapel Hill campus as well as many other things. They have also been featured on the Food Network, so that shows just how awesome they actually are! Who knows....if this date goes well, you could have Sugarland make your wedding cake down the road. :)

The Streets at Southpoint and Main Street in Durham, NC. This great mall (and more) is conveniently located off I-40 and Fayetteville Rd in South Durham. This is one hopping place! So whether you'd like to get some shopping done, or go on a great date with your new sweetie, this is the place to be. There is an extensive indoor portion of Southpoint, which would be ideal for a cool evening for a first date. There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat, some dessert or coffee. Or if it is a nicer evening you could take a stroll down Main Street and browse those shops. Depending how well the date goes, you could always go to a movie at the very nice theatre also at Southpoint. You two will definitely find lots to see and do while at Southpoint. Just relax and have fun!

RBC Center in Raleigh, NC. There is always something going on at the RBC Center in North Carolina's State Capital. The RBC Center attracts: Hurricane Hockey, Concerts, Disney on Ice, Harlem Globetrotters, Rodeos and the list goes on. So, no matter what you and your date like, you can probably find something interesting (and fun!) to attend for your first date! Won't that be a lot more fun that just going to some hum drum movie or restaurant? This is definitely the most expensive option I'm suggesting for a first date in the area. Prices will vary depending on which event you go see at the RBC. So check their website for further info.

I hope this is helpful for you and your first (or second, third, etc...) date! I know my hubby and I have enjoyed going to these places since we've lived in North Carolina. So, I'm sure you both will like them too! Just remember, have fun and try to relax!
