Clay flower pots make for an excellent craft project because there are so many creative and easy things you can do with a clay flower pot to make it decorative, plus clay pots are so versatile and low cost. Beautiful and fun flower pot projects can be made by adults and kids alike and flower pot crafts even make excellent gifts!

Here you will find 3 flower pot craft projects that are easy to make, look great and do not cost a lot of money.

Herb Clay Flower Pot Craft Project

Cut fabric in approximately 2 inch squares and decoupage on the bottom two-thirds of the clay pot making sure to leave the lip or upper top of the clay pot clear. Using a permanent marker or paint, write the name of an herb on the lip or top one-third of the clay pot. Tie a ribbon or twine around the clay pot. Plant the herb in the pot that is written on the clay pot, multiples of three, four, five or even more herb clay pots look really cute together.

Wine Carafe Flower Pot Craft Project

Use a tall type clay pot that is a bit shorter than a bottle of wine, the tall clay pots can be found at the larger craft stores. Paint the clay pot a solid color and allow time to dry, and then using paint add simple designs of your choice such as starts, circles or squares. Depending on your painting expertise, any type of painting can be added to the clay pot and then a sealant is also helpful to protect the paint. Adding a bottle of wine to the clay pot makes for an excellent housewarming gift.

Address Flower Pot Craft Project

Paint clay flower pots any color and design you choose, and then add one number of your address to each clay pot using a stencil or free hand. For example, if your address is 3 digits, you will make 3 clay pots. These clay flower pot craft projects look really cute displayed on the front steps of the house or front porch. Make sure to use a sealant on the clay pot especially if they are outside and add beautiful flowers for a lovely welcoming display that is also informational.

There are so many interesting and useful flower pot craft projects; I have found flower pot crafts to be quite addicting. Once you try your first clay pot project, you may not be able to stop crafting!
