Working anywhere, anyplace, at anytime
Graduating from college gives you many aspirations, but if you aspire to pay your bills on time, you've got one thing your mind: Just get a job. I've thought about working at diners, being a secretary, cleaning someone's house. And I thought about these options regardless of what my college major was or how much money I spent on my tuition. I had one motive: To get a job anyway anyhow, anyplace, anytime, all to pay down the debt.
Selling your soul to telemarketing.
They have telemarketing places that will get you to endorse anything from politics to home mortgages. Paying a luxury rate of about 9.00 an hour, these jobs are very easy to do but really boring. You sit in a chair, stare at a screen and spend eight hours a day just dialing and dialing. Inspite of the boredom though, this is a pretty good way to pay down your debt because you won't have to work very hard.
Getting up at the crack of dawn to work for UPS or deliver newspapers when you have a full time job to go to afterwards.
Find yourself answering an ad that asks you if you can lift 50 lbs? UPS pays well at about 9 to $12 per hour. You'll get a good workout in, and you'll probably make plenty of friends who have some of the same financial goals as you do: They want to get out of debt too. But what do you do if you can't lift 50lbs? You sign up to throw papers in people's driveways for about 150.00 per week.
For this paper delivery job, you'll have to condition yourself to get up and out of bed at about 2:00 in the morning, arrive at the place where they keep the papers by 3, and finish the route by six in the morning. The best part about delivering papers is that they hire you on the spot.
Selling your body
For the record, I've never tried this one before, but many people have worked in bars or nightlife places in order to make large amounts of money for little to no work. You may make some cash to pay off your debt, but expect to come home feeling cheap, dirty, and immoral.
