3 Fabulous Halloween Cupcake Ideas!

C.B.
Halloween's right around the corner, and you're planning your Halloween party. You've got everything to plan from: games, decorations, candy, food, and well, baked sweets! Cupcakes are easy to make & always welcomed at your Halloween party, along with making some extra goodies to send to school with the kids. When it comes to making Halloween cupcakes, you can get as creative as you'd like! From scary, to cute, to gross, there's a million ways you can decorate those cupcakes. Here's a share of my few favorite Halloween cupcake ideas!

For these cute and fun Halloween cupcake decoration ideas, you're going to need the following icing colors:
-black
-green
-orange
-Yellow or white

And optionally, you're going to need the candies:
-Candy corns
-Plain Chocolate M&M's

1) Black cat:
Step one- As the title says, this cat cupcake is going to be black. So spread black icing evenly on the cupcake, as this is going to be used as your base color.

Step two- Place two M&M's in the center of the cupcake, about 1/4 of an inch apart, these will be the eyes. Use whichever colored M&M's you'd like. Yellow is preferred.

Step three- Right below the M&M's, in the center, you're going to lay a candy corn pointing upwards. This will be the nose of the cat.

Step four- Draw three lines branching off the left and right of the candy corn, as these will be the whiskers. You can use whichever color (Except black) that you'd like. Green or yellow is preferred.

Step five- Place candy corns actually into the cupcake, arrows facing upwards, just like in the picture. The candy corns are going to be kind of hanging off the edge of the cupcake, which is okay. You're going to want to cover these with black icing as well, and you're all done!

2) Spiderweb:
Step one- Orange is used for the base color of this cupcake idea, so take the orange icing and spread it all over the cupcake evenly.

Step two- Now, you're going to draw the spider web. Take the black and draw a small circle in the middle of the cupcake. Then, you'll want to draw another circle around this one. Repeat, until you've reached the edge of the cupcake. After you've finished drawing the circles, you're going to create the lines of the spider web. So just like in the picture, you're going to draw a dot in the center of the cupcake and draw lines branching off from it.

Step three- Now, for the easy part. Place an M&m in the middle of the cupcake where the dot was. Cover the candy with black icing. Draw four curved out legs on each side, and you've got a spider!

3) Dracula:
Step one- Green is used as the base color for this one, so you're going to want to spread green icing evenly all over the cupcake.

Step two- You're going to give him a full head of black hair, along with sideburns. You should refer to this picture to get a better understanding of what you're going to need to draw. Draw an "M" shape on the top half of the cupcake on the top half of the cupcake. Then, fill in the top half of cupcake (Separated by the lines from your "M") with more black icing.

Step three- Make dots and a smiley face for the eyes and mouth with black icing. (Simple, I know)

Step four- Lay the candy corns, arrow facing downwards on opposite ends of Dracula's smile, and cover them with white icing to look like teeth (or you can use yellow if you'd like).

Have a fun, yummy, and happy Halloween!
