3 Features that Improve the New Playstation 3 Controller

Jeff Schuman
Have you ever wanted to be able to play Playstation without having to worry about tripping over the wire on the controller? Or having to worry about pulling the controller out in the middle of a big game? The new Playstation 3 controllers, the Sixaxis Wireless Controller, have solved this problem and more.

New state of the art technology has been used in the new Playstation 3 controllers to utilize your new console to its fullest potential. The controllers have sensors installed into them. These sensors read when a player tilts, angles, pulls or thrusts the controller. These new controllers run for about $49.99 because of the motion sensors, which some don't like because it takes the vibration away from the controller. A separate remote control will also be sold to take advantage of the console's Blue-ray functionality. Additionally, a memory card adapter is going to be sold for reading the Playstation and Playstation 2 memory cards.

One key feature of the new Playstation 3 controllers is that you can use them wireless. Using Bluetooth technology the Playstation 3 controllers are all wireless. If you prefer wired controllers don't worry, the controllers are made so they can be used either way. The system is also set up to allow users to use up to seven Playstation 3 controllers at the same time! For you to be able to play without worrying about the wireless controller dying, you are able to plug it into the Playstation 3's USB port and charge them while you play.

If you liked the old Playstation 3 controllers shape and button layout don't worry, they are still the same, with a couple of minor touches. The analog joysticks have been tilted and the L2 and R2 buttons have been reshaped. Sony hopes that these changes will provide for maximum precision and added comfort for hours of game play. Other than those two minor changes, and the absence of the memory card slots in the controller, the original design will stay the same.

With the new Bluetooth technology, Blue-ray technology, and motion sensors all being added to the new controllers, they are state-of-the-art for the new state-of-the-art system. Using these controllers should enhance the gaming experience to the max!
