Activity one: Shaw Park. Beautiful shot Park is located in Clayton, Missouri. The park has a large grassy area suitable for sports like frisbee, softball, and flag football. There is also a playground for children with good equipment. This suburb Park also boasts a large outdoor swimming pool, which becomes an ice skating rink during the winter. So part of charge admission for the pool, and I understand it is cheaper if you are resident of Clayton. If you are a resident of Clayton, or plan to be in the area for a while, you can join one of the softball leagues that place in the park.
Activity two: Recreation Center. Clayton also boasts an excellent recreation center, which has many fun activities for children. Athletic kids can enjoy playing basketball, racquetball, and other sports. There is also an endorsement pool and a climbing wall. Like South Park, the Clayton Recreation Center does charge admission. Here, too, my understanding is that admission is cheaper for residents. If you plan to be in Clayton for an extended period of time, you can join one of the many sports leagues that plays regularly at the recreation center.
Activity three: public library. In addition to the sports options described above, Clayton also provides an excellent public library. It is part of the St. Louis County Library system. Residents can check out items and request items from other branches. For visitors, there is a good children's area within library. Although the library is not particularly large, it does offer special events for children, such as reading time and movie showings. Obviously, you should check the library schedule before visiting.
Even though the city is not large geographically, there are plenty of fun things to do with kids in Clayton, Missouri. Whether your kids are into sports are academics, you can find ways to keep them busy in this beautiful suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. And don't forget to participate in the many fun, family-friendly activities available in St. Louis and other surrounding communities. This really is a great place for families.
