I live in Murray, KY and have to say that yes it is a small town, but there are so many hidden things to see and do in and around the Murray area. For instance, lets say you want to take your boyfriend or girlfriend on your first date out together and you live in a small but quaint town, where do you go to make it special? Well listed below are my three best places to take a first date in Murray, KY.

Lake Barkley at Land Between the Lakes

If you are looking to impress your sweetheart, then I suggest you take a short ride out to Lake Barkley for one of their moonlight couples guided canoe trips around Lake Barkley. The guided tours are in the spring and summer and start at dusk, usually around 6pm and last until 8pm. This is a very romantic canoe ride around Lake Barkley with the guide who will tell you all about the history and wildlife here at Land Between the Lakes area. This is a great place to take a first date; the ambiance is subtle and relaxing. The food is prepared over an open mesquite fire that give their stakes, chicken, ribs and seafood a great Smokey flavor and the service here is top notch. The margaritas here are so amazing and they have a wide variety of beers to choose from. The price for two to eat here is around $70.00 and that is with a tip. Tumbleweeds also have nice booths if you want to get close with your date and cuddle while you sip on your margarita and wait for your food.

Murray RSEC Center

The RSEC center is another great place to take a first date in Murray, KY. The center offers a wide variety of venues to choose from such as, sporting events, concerts and comedy shows and so much more. The center is located at 1401 State Route 121 N.
