Being fit is being healthy. Studies show that illnesses come together with weight. This means that heavier or overweight people are more prone to illnesses compared to those people who are body conscious. Take note that not all body conscious people are healthy; in fact some bigger people are healthier than those who are fit. But just to make things easier, let's just stick to the fact that there are a lot of healthy people who are body conscious than the bigger ones. I just stated some facts about why being fit is being healthy. Now, if you want to be fitter and be healthier, we have formulated some tips in getting fitter just for you.

1. Consider exercising. Exercising doesn't have to be hard work. If you find it hard to start exercising, make it a part of your daily routine by making it fun. Find an exercise partner or start doing physical recreation that you enjoy. To exercise means to do physical activity and movement which is intended to keep a person fit and healthy. Now that clearly states that exercise is really a need for the body, not just for those who want to lose weight. Take note, exercise is intended to keep a person fit and healthy. So exercise regularly to keep yourself fit and healthy and not gain some extra unwanted pounds.

2. Go to the gym. Whether you choose a free community gym or a paid gym membership like Gold's Gym, gyms are a great place to work off a few pounds. If you really want to lose weight fast and become fit fast, then the gym is your best friend. Actually you can just buy a treadmill if you have a lot of cash to spend then you can jog all you want in the comfort of your own home but to go the gym is a different experience. If you don't have a lot of money to spend for exercising machineries or whatever that is called then go to the gym. The gym is complete of all the things you need to be in perfect shape in no time. It also has instructors to help you.

3. Eat a healthy diet. You've heard a lot about diets, but you don't need to buy into commercial dieting gimmicks like the Atkins low carb diet or South Beach diet. If you're really gaining a lot of weight then maybe it's because of your eating habit. Maybe you eat more meat with less fruits and vegetables lately. If you do then, it's time to cut that unhealthy eating habit. Eating a lot of meat is not healthy because it contains lots of calories which may just be stored because it remained unused which then is converted to fat. To be healthier and fit, eat lots of fruits and vegetable together with minimal intake of meat. Choosing beef than pork is also healthier when choosing meet. Maybe you can also consider cooking low calorie foods to support your diet.

Being healthy is really a good thing and on the contrary, being bigger than normal is a big negative. Be fit and healthy. You can always have your own way of becoming fit but if you can't think of doing things you own then, we just gave you some health and wellness tips in getting fitter.
