Kitchen cabinet doors make a great starting points for upcycled crafts. If you have removed your kitchen cabinet doors to create some open shelving then these ideas are for you. Create upcycled crafts to decorate your home from old kitchen cabinet doors.

Upcycled Kitchen Cabinet Doors Crafts #1: Headboard

Solid wood cabinet doors can make a great upcycled headboard for any bedroom in the house. Best of all this idea requires no cutting or heavy duty saws since the wood doors are already cut.

For a simple upcycled wood headboard sand, prime, and paint out a few cabinet doors. Once the paint dries attach them together use flat metal brackets on the back. Make this as wide as your bed. Hang on the wall above your bed to act as a headboard.

Another fun idea is to add a piece of foam to each board. Then top with some cloth. Secure in the back with a stale gun. Then proceed to attach the doors together and hang.

Upcycled Kitchen Cabinet Door Crafts #2: Step Stools

Kids will love this idea for upcycled kitchen cabinet doors. Take a wood kitchen cabinet door and simply add some feet. The fun is in finding some great materials to recycled into the feet. Old door knobs add a ton of character if you have a few lying around.

Other options for feet include crap pieces of 2X4's, castors, and fence posts. Let the kids have fun painting out their new step stool. This is a great way to get the kids into recycling.

Upcycled Kitchen Cabinet Door Crafts #3: Chalk Board Wall

This fun craft is one the kids will have as much fun making as they do using. Take old kitchen cabinet doors and paint them out using chalk board paint. You will need to read the painting instructions on the paint brand that you buy.

Once the paint is applied you can hang each of the chalkboard cabinet doors on the wall. Run them all the way to the ground so little kids can reach. Kid will love drawing in the middle of each door and best of all everything will look like framed art hanging on the wall.

Tip: If you want to avoid making a bunch of holes in the wall hanging your upcycled kitchen cabinet doors then attach them together using flat metal brackets. Once they are like one piece you can install picture hanging hooks on the back and hang on the wall.
